The Artbridger Sponsorship Program reflects a commitment to supporting artists beyond commercial transactions, offering the infrastructural backing, critical mentorship, and international mobility required for long-term career longevity. Operating as an incubator for artistic practice, the initiative connects artists with established curators, critics, and market professionals to refine their work, articulate their critical narratives, and navigate complex institutional frameworks. By facilitating access to global residencies, curatorial site visits, and group exhibitions alongside dedicated editorial profiling and critical writing, Artbridger ensures an artist's practice is documented with rigor and presented thoughtfully to global audiences, prioritizing sustainable creative autonomy over immediate market turnarounds.

Babita Sridhar is a Singapore-based contemporary artist whose practice bridges abstraction and realism through emotional storytelling and personal narrative. After an 18-year career in IT, she transitioned to art as part of a deeply personal journey, one that led her to develop a distinctive practice rooted in introspection, resilience, and transformation.
Her latest body of work is a meditation on what lies beneath the surface - in water, and in ourselves. Aquatic life like koi and turtles - creatures of quiet endurance - become metaphors for how we move through life: adapting, pausing, adjusting, yet deeply alive. Each piece begins with bold, spontaneous abstraction; realistic form emerges through the layers, much as inner clarity forms through uncertainty. Working in oils, acrylics, spray paint, and textural elements, she believes art is both healing and purposeful, and donates a portion of her sales to causes that reflect that conviction.
Babita has exhibited locally in Singapore and internationally at World Art Dubai 2024-2026, The Other Art Fair Los Angeles 2026, and Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong 2026. Her works are held in private collections across Singapore, Australia, South Africa, the Middle East, Los Angeles and Hong Kong, by collectors who recognise in her aquatic worlds something deeply familiar: the quiet strength it takes to keep moving beneath the surface. In 2025, she founded Boundless Art Gallery, an artist-led platform created to support self-driven artist
About the artist
My practice explores themes of identity, resilience, and the quiet strength found in adaptation. I work primarily through abstract realism, using layered abstraction as a foundation and anchoring each composition with realistic animal forms. These figures, most often aquatic life, become metaphors for emotional endurance, patience, and balance.
I am drawn to aquatic creatures for their ability to survive through adaptability rather than force. Existing beneath the surface, they navigate complex environments with calm persistence, reflecting states of inner resilience and strength that I seek to explore through my work. Their presence allows me to speak about strength and movement without urgency.
My process begins with intuitive abstraction, building layers that hold tension, complexity, and emotional depth. I then introduce realism as a stabilising element, allowing form to emerge from chaos. Working with oils, acrylics, markers, spray paint, and textured mediums, I create surfaces where abstraction and representation coexist in deliberate balance.
Through this process, I aim to create contemplative spaces that invite viewers to slow down and reflect. Rather than offering a fixed narrative or resolution, my work leaves room for individual interpretation, holding space for stillness, adaptation, and the possibility of hope found within one’s own pace and circumstances.
