Artbridger marks VOLTA Basel’s 20th anniversary with a vibrant, future-facing presentation uniting emerging and established artists from around the world. This year’s exhibition features a dynamic selection from the BK SIGG Collection’s “Technically Collecting” chapter—showcasing the evolution of Benjamin Kristoffer Sigg as a collector—alongside exclusive new works by Artbridger’s leading international artists and the debut of innovative authenticated digital fine art works by Chanelle Rose and machine learning collaborations by Hong Wai and Sophia the Robot.
For VOLTA Basel 2025, Artbridger is proud to present a landmark exhibition celebrating the fair’s 20th anniversary. This year’s showcase brings together a global roster of creative voices, including John Paul Fauves, Fumani Maluleke, Sophia the Robot, Hong Wai, Konstantin Bessmertny, Tillmann Lauterbach, Li Xi, Chanelle Rose, and Carl Frederik Reuterswärd.
A major highlight is the introduction of the second chapter of the BK SIGG Collection, “Technically Collecting.” This new curatorial direction not only chronicles Benjamin Kristoffer Sigg’s evolution as a collector but also expands beyond Chinese contemporary art to embrace a diverse array of international artists and mediums. On view are works by Konstantin Bessmertny, Li Xi, and Tillmann Lauterbach, reflecting the collection’s global reach and innovative spirit.
Artbridger’s selection is further energized by the exclusive launch of machine learning digital works from Hong Wai and Sophia the Robot, underscoring our commitment to the intersection of technology and creativity. Complementing these are bold new pieces by John Paul Fauves, Fumani Maluleke—each contributing a unique perspective to this vibrant, cross-cultural conversation.
This exhibition is a celebration of innovation and tradition, inviting visitors to experience the evolving landscape of contemporary art through the lens of both established and emerging talents.
