Born on March 26, 1974, in Beirut, Hady Beydoun is a Lebanese artist whose work transcends boundaries, blending sculpture, painting, and digital art. A relentless innovator, his artistic universe is a fusion of classical influences and contemporary expression, delivering profound narratives through form and texture. With a degree in Graphic Design from the American University of Beirut, Hady honed his craft across multiple disciplines, including illustration, airbrushing, typography, and creative direction. Over the years, he has developed a distinctive sculptural language that delves into human emotion, mythology, and the complexities of identity. His work engages deeply with themes of existentialism, exploring the interplay between the seen and the unseen, the material and the ethereal. Hady Beydoun’s work is more than visual storytelling; it is a philosophical inquiry, a bold declaration of artistic freedom, and an unyielding call to introspection.
My work is a response to the complexities of the world we inhabit, driven by a desire to provoke thought and evoke raw emotions. I seek to capture the intensity of human experience—both collective and personal—by exploring themes that transcend borders, weaving my art into the ongoing global dialogue of culture and history. A central aspect of my practice involves transforming everyday objects, particularly consumer goods, into thought-provoking pieces. This approach challenges the relentless dominance of consumerism, stripping it down to reveal its deeper implications. These raw, unrefined creations carry a spiritual undertone, urging viewers to look beyond materialism and reconnect with their inner selves. Another dimension of my work delves into the shared mental and emotional landscapes of humanity. I explore addiction, disillusionment, sensuality, and the eccentricities of existence often blending weirdness and sarcasm to reflect the absurdity of life itself. I confront truths head-on, presenting reality unfiltered and immediate, like a reflection in a mirror. Through expressive faces, piercing eyes, and textured forms, I tell stories that are unapologetically honest and deeply resonant. To me, art is the tangible manifestation of unseen energy. The energy I pour into my work is the energy it emits creating an unspoken dialogue with the viewer. It is an idea made visible, challenging perceptions and inspiring reflection on the self, others, and the world we share.
