Hoi Yu Karen Ge is a Hong Kong illustrator. A 2021 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design, she was a 2025 resident artist with the New York School of Visual Arts. With a focus on uplifting narratives and self-discovery, Karen’s works radiate positivity, encouraging viewers to embrace their inner selves with confidence and curiosity. Through digital techniques, varied textures, and bold, flat shapes, she crafts vibrant, saturated worlds that spark joy and introspection.
Karen’s works have been recognized by prestigious institutions, including the Society of Illustrators, 3x3, Communication Arts, Applied Arts Awards, International Design Awards (IDA), Beijing International Illustration Award (BIBF), London Design Festival x London Art Collective, Hiii Illustration International Competition, H.C. Andersen Awards, CACR Hong Kong Youth Arts Awards, China Illustration Annual Competition (CIAC), and Japan Illustrators’ Association (JIA).
Karen’s art has been exhibited globally at prestigious venues and events. These include Art Hong Kong 2024 at the Hong Kong AsiaWorld-Expo, the H.C. Andersen Art Awards exhibition 2024 in Denmark, and the "ART COLLECTIVE: From the One to the Many" exhibition at London's Saatchi Gallery during the 2024 Design Festival. Her work has also been featured at the 24th Art Expo Beijing, the UWEE Louvre International Art Exhibition 2024 “ONE WORLD·ONE FUTURE,” and the Shanghai Young Art Fair 2024 where her work was acquired for its collection. Further exhibitions include the “Symbiosis” Utopia & GSAG exhibition at Industry City in New York, Art Capital 2025 at the Paris Grand Palais, the New York School of Visual Arts, the Art & Design Education FutureLab “Ambition!” 2025 exhibition at Shanghai's West Bund Art Center, and the Society of Illustrators 68th annual exhibition in New York.
