My name is Ines Hamouda, known artistically as Artine. I am a Tunisian visual artist with over a decade of experience in painting, primarily working within a monochrome aesthetic. My practice explores the human face as a landscape of emotion, where shadows, fragments, and layers become a language of identity and memory. Throughout my career, I have participated in several exhibitions in Tunisia and internationally , experiences that have deeply enriched my practice and strengthened my desire to share my work with new spaces and audiences.
I focus on deconstructing shadows into shades of grey, moving from black in search of white. Through this process, I aim to capture what is felt rather than what is seen, allowing light to emerge from darkness. My work exists at the intersection of realism and abstraction, built on subtle textures and quiet contrasts. Each piece becomes a dialogue between absence and presence, strength and vulnerability , reflecting my belief that simplicity can carry the most profound stories.
