The Artbridger Sponsorship Program reflects a commitment to supporting artists beyond commercial transactions, offering the infrastructural backing, critical mentorship, and international mobility required for long-term career longevity. Operating as an incubator for artistic practice, the initiative connects artists with established curators, critics, and market professionals to refine their work, articulate their critical narratives, and navigate complex institutional frameworks. By facilitating access to global residencies, curatorial site visits, and group exhibitions alongside dedicated editorial profiling and critical writing, Artbridger ensures an artist's practice is documented with rigor and presented thoughtfully to global audiences, prioritizing sustainable creative autonomy over immediate market turnarounds.

About the artist
Lam re-evaluates the classical Chinese concept of shanshui (mountain-water harmony) through the lens of Anthropocene urbanization and technological waste. His central concept explores the paradoxical relationship between natural ecology and industrial progress. By treating printed circuit boards, copper wiring, and power plugs as modern topographies, Lam posits that discarded e-waste has become the new “geological strata” of human civilization. He envisions a future where nature adaptively reclaims machine artifacts, giving birth to a hybrid electronic landscape.
Lam applies oil and acrylic paints directly onto the non-porous, intricate surfaces of discarded electronics, cleverly adopting the printed circuit lines, soldering nodes, and raised transistors as natural topography. He adapts classical ink brushwork, such as texture strokes, to work on metallic and plastic mediums, painting foliage, winding rivers, and misty ridges across conductive tracks. By allowing the underlying green fiberglass, silver soldering spots, and raw copper sheen to double as natural features, Lam creates a seamless synthesis where industrial engineering seamlessly mirrors the tranquil harmony of a classic Chinese garden.
