“A Long Day” is an ethereal poetic image of great subtlety. It may depict something or nothing but it is a spur to the imagination. It reads like a landscape - a bridge across a bay perhaps, wreathed in fog. A line down the middle - possibly a join between two plates - blurs the distinction between art and artefact.
People instinctively regard a particular place as home. However, if the so-called home has become distant or unfamiliar, can we still refer to it as "home"? Walking the same path back home every day, repeatedly, what does the road to "home" mean to us? Many questions arise in mind. As we pass by this familiar route once more, perhaps the answer lies within the landscapes of our daily lives.
