“Colour Study” is an artistically posed portrait of a young woman, seen in profile, with her head thrown back, eyes closed, and about to savour the luscious tart sweetness and exquisite texture of a plump ripe strawberry that she dangles tantalisingly close to her slightly parted lips. We can sense her breathing in the scent of the fruit and are at one with her absorption in the moment. This is a beautifully drawn study of pleasure, richly coloured, and perfectly lit.
