In “Ducky’s Bathtime” a figure wearing an outsized old fashioned deep sea diving suit stands waist deep in water, holding in its cupped hands a small pool of water, scooped up so as not to disturb the rubber duck that floats upon it. The scooping action reveals starlight that seems to come from beneath the surface of the water rather than the rain-streaked sky above. It is a work of surprising tenderness, like a nativity scene of an adoration of a child.
The drizzle wets my tears. The happiness that i try to hold tightly, eventually turns into bubbles.
