The colour palette employed in June's pieces gives a calming yet unsettling feel, a duality that pulls the viewer into a contemplative state. An outstanding example is the artwork titled "In fact, we don’t want to see her.", where she managed to leave a lot of blank space. This technique is not merely a stylistic choice but a deliberate one to symbolise the emptiness and the silence within the emotion and theme conveyed. The picture, depicting a daily building scene, becomes a canvas for memory and reflection through the incorporation of a plant and a pink shadow projected onto the building, emphasising a memory that lingers.
