“Plainwater 11” uses large fields of colour made with red wine, watercolour and oil pastel on paper to tease the eye and make it dance across and around the sheet - from the sweep of red and blue through to purple black on the left, then back into the colour field through a spill of red, to then leap upwards again on a jet of Prussian blue.
