"South Bay Fishing Lights," encapsulates a late-night seascape scene, where the glow emitted within the artwork creates an almost magical atmosphere. The tiny red spot on the left juxtaposed with the dominant blue tone generates a multidimensional feel, transforming a simple landscape into a psychological exploration.
You escape from the city and stand, alone along the water’s edge, hoping for the darkness of nature. The luminous glow of a parade of squid fishing vessels shines from behind the hill, contrasting perfectly with the piercing orange of the un-maned guard tower. It’s eerie and peaceful and you stay with nothing but the sound of waves. A family of wild boar sleep nearby, together on the sand after their dusk play time. Knowing nothing of the traps that have been laid all over the region.
