“Yellow Splash 2” is painted in Lo’s customary bright saturated colour with strong outlines. It depicts a rather cluttered interior with a couple of people taking their leisure. Lo’s interest has been caught by the play of light in the room - a pool of electric light illuminating one figure from above, and a beam of light, a ray of sunshine perhaps, or the light from a wall sconce making a strong diagonal and cutting the picture plane in two.
