I love the delicacy of this composition. The pink wall with its vertical strokes extends two thirds of the way down the drawing, where a horizontal sheet of corrugated metal gives a wavy line above further diagonal stripes in the torn awning. The grey window with its geometric details contrasts with the wavy shapes of the washing hanging on the line and natural form of the sad tree on the left. It is all perfectly balanced, with a film-maker's eye.
