洪慧受欧洲的虚空画（Vanitas）启发。虚空画（Vanitas）是一种特别的绘画类型，多数为静物画，于17世纪初在荷兰兴起。通过描绘具有强烈象征意义的寓言性物品 :例如象征死亡的骷髅头，枯萎的花朵则隐喻着衰老…洪慧在这个系列以水墨呈现蕾丝装饰的内衣、高跟鞋、香水、骷髅等,乍看是迷人，却都是虚空画的象征符号。这些物品的存在提醒观众死亡的必然性、时间的流逝、生命、青春和美丽的短暂性。同时，它们也唤起人们对世俗欲望和快乐的意义的思考。这个系列受法国著名品牌Aubade邀请合作联名,以法国蕾丝和瑞士刺绣工艺, 诠释洪慧的笔墨，推出Encre de Chine 内衣系列,于欧洲,美国和亚洲推出。 Aubade每年都会与一位国际知名的高订设计师合作,联名推出特别系列,曾与Karl Lagerfeld, Iris Van Herpen,Christian Lacroix等知名设计师合作。洪慧是唯一一位纯艺术家(非设计师)。
