Alice Tsang Hiu Tung (b. 1996) conveys her thoughts through materials encountered in daily life, emphasizing tactile experiences. She believes in the healing, gathering, and connecting power of art, which can ground living beings and spirits, and extend to social and ecological systems. She views the body as a garden and a medium full of possibilities, where internal refraction and fermentation occur. Through painting, she explores light, the trajectory of life, and her relationship with the world. Tsang's practice focuses on the awareness, reflections, and connections found in the small, everyday interactions. She addresses how these tiny touches can be transformed into another form, reflecting both the dusty haste of daily life and herself. For her, sentience becomes a medium rather than an aesthetic goal. She received a grant from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council for a solo exhibition titled "I'm Watching Your Photosynthesis" in Taiwan, and participated in the 2023 editions of the Taipei and Bangkok Art Book Fairs. She also took part in the 2024 Try Try Zine Residency from Asia Art Archive, exploring different ways of connecting with the body through zine-making and improvisational dance workshops.
