Genie Hui, a graduate of Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Visual Arts, majoring in Western and Chinese painting. Additionally, Genie had the opportunity to expand her artistic knowledge through an exchange program at Chung-Ang University in South Korea, where she delved into Korean and Western painting as well as ceramics. This exposure to diverse artistic perspectives has had a profound influence on her artistic practice. Genie's exploration encompasses a wide range of mediums, including oil painting, Chinese painting, drawing, and ceramics. Her focus lies in creating multidimensional artworks that seamlessly blend traditional Gong-Bi techniques, elements of illustration, and ceramic craftsmanship. In doing so, she aims to introduce a fresh approach to the language of Chinese painting. Drawing inspiration from introspection, emotions, and the world around her, Genie's artworks delve into themes of life exploration and spiritual healing. Her intention is to foster a sense of unity and coherence within her creations, inviting viewers to engage with her works and find solace and rejuvenation through the artistic experience.
