Having graduated with Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master of Arts in Philosophy at Chinese University of Hong Kong, she begins exploring the intertwining relationship between visual expression and literature. By developing the unique characters which appear throughout her drawings, an imaginary, condensed and self-sufficient world is formed.
There is always a glimpse of inspiration in my mind. I am like a servant, to follow the inspiration and make them concrete on the paper/ canvas. To draw is to catch this sparkling idea before it is slipped away. I am depicting the characters in a calm, tranquil and undisturbed status. They might look stiff in posture sometimes, but this is only because they are innocent, pure and true to themselves. A self-explanatory world is unveiled. Perhaps it is a projection to an ideal world against reality. Recently, I am indulged in literature, exploring the possible reactions between drawing and literature.
