Mediha Ting, b. 1975, Belgium, was raised in Hong Kong and educated in the US and the UK. Ms. Ting combines Chinese ink painting with Western painting techniques, creating works that blend abstract and realistic elements. The artist has held solo exhibitions in London, America, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Ting's work has been exhibited in numerous selected group shows and art fairs worldwide, including Art Central, Art Stage Singapore, 33Auction Singapore, Contemporary Art Auction at Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) in Manchester, Asian Art in London, and Scope Basel Art Fair in Switzerland.
An internationally acclaimed artist whose work expertly navigates the intersection of Eastern and Western artistic traditions. Selected Chinese contemporary ink works “Golden Beam” & “Stream of Praise” from the Ray of Light series are selected and successfully auctioned at the Ravenel Spring Auction 2018 & 2019 in Taiwan. In addition her recent Ink work got selected for the 2nd Ink Global competition. After receiving Honorable Mention in the All College Award at California College of Art and completing her education at the University of Arts London, Mediha earned her Master's Degree in Art Policy and Management from Birkbeck College, London. This comprehensive education forms the foundation of her innovative app roach to contemporary art. Her work, particularly celebrated for its groundbreaking contemporary ink techniques, has been featured in prestigious venues worldwide, including successful solo exhibitions in London, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Notable achievements include her "Ray of Light" series, with works "Golden Beam" and "Stream of Praise" being selected for the Ravenel Spring Auctions in 2018 and 2019. As founder of Ting Art Studio and committee member of the Young Artist Development Foundation, Mediha continues to influence the next generation of artists. Her work can be found in distinguished collections including Murray Edwards College at the University of Cambridge and the Bank of China London Head Office.
