“Daisy” depicts a middle aged woman sitting somewhere, possibly on a crowded train, masked and totally engrossed in what she sees on her phone and oblivious to everything else around her. The work is divided into two pieces, possibly to allow the artist to focus on her head and face which is presented at a larger scale than the rest of her body. The body is distorted, skewed and difficult to read because of the overall patterning in black and white like landscape painting in Chinese ink. Her dress is long, falling to the floor, and appears to something like a formal kimono.
