“I Spy” is described by the artist as just another self portrait. It is based on a photo of the artist looking very cute at around 12 months old. It is painted in watercolour and demonstrates good skill in handling this difficult medium. Skin, clothing, upholstery and woodwork are all rendered with confidence and sensitivity.
