This is a beautifully painted image of two rabbits mating on a bed of soft blue leaves under a golden, slowly darkening sky. The artist has captured the moment of mounting, the split second of actual copulation which is often, for a rabbit, all it takes. It is a tender image, with the soft palette of blue green white and gold conveying a mood of peace and tranquility.
