Mediha Ting’s My Butterfly Series: Spiritual Light (2024) is a celestial interplay of light, color, and movement, a visual symphony that oscillates between the cosmic and the deeply personal. A radiant beam of pale golden light cuts diagonally across the composition, illuminating a lower field of vibrant, flickering hues—an assembled multitude, a congregation of color in motion. Above, the night sky is charged with kinetic energy, an expanse of nebulous blues, electric greens, and scattered constellations, punctuated by a solitary, ethereal pink figure hovering like a specter of transcendence.
