Haeji Min
Artist
Haeji Min
Haeji Min, born in 1995 in Seoul, is an artist who has exhibited her work globally. Notable exhibitions include "Beyond the Birthplace" in Italy, "Femalarity" in Dubai, and "Ghost in the Shell" in South Korea. She has been shortlisted for the prestigious John Moores Painting Prize, and has received scholarships and prizes for her artistic contributions. The subject matter of her practice varies in sync with her chronological present and accumulated thoughts. She creates fictional characters, scenes, and narratives in her art practice based on real-life experiences that convey aspects of her personality, values, and trajectories in life. This thinking process of association inspires her to make stories in a visual form. In this case, the depiction of fluid organic shapes of her metamorphic characters on canvas holds her thoughts about a limited mortal life, heaven and hell, and diverse existential questions. With a mixture of undulating and controlled movements of brush strokes, her visual forms go through a process of genetic mutation that mirrors the fragmentation and flow of thoughts of such a haphaard nature.

Dahee Lee
Artist
Dahee Lee
Dahee Lee is a fine art artist who achieved recognition as the winner of the 2023 Paso Gallery 'Young Artist Contest'. She has actively engaged in various collaborative concerts and projects, exhibiting her works at prestigious events like the Affordable Seoul Art Fair and the Hong Kong Spoon Art Fair. Her artworks are acknowledged by esteemed institutions such as the Royal Scottish Academy and the National Modern Art Museum Artbank, which have acquired her works for their collections. Music is a fomalistic art form with many mathematical restrictions, and has to be adapted according to fixed rules of notation. Music and painting, while being different modes of expression, have developed reciprocally, sharing the realm of human senses. Dahee Lee's work entails creating the grammatical framework for the adaptation of music to painting. From collecting and analysing musical data (era, theory, composers), to reflecting the specific tones and motifs in the musician’s rendition, arranging the phrases according to the format and flow of the piece, and designing the grid to synthesise and lay out all the information.
