Clinton is an art practitioner and researcher from Hong Kong; he obtained his master’s degree in the Global Art Practice, MFA program at Tokyo University of the Arts.
Clinton’s creative intentions are driven mainly by the relationship between drawing and hand-writing, comprehending the functionality of language to compositions connecting the history of Chinese characters(Kanji) and self-reflections, comprehension and his mental state, interest in understanding oneself, and the relationship with his heritage and surroundings throughout his art practice with various mediums. Research-wise, he’s also interested in discovering more perspectives and boundaries of drawing, language and writing, understanding the relationships between art, knowledge, and humanity through research.
