This artwork presents a dense, vertically structured cosmology, built around a large central void that immediately draws the eye into a field of instability and suspended meaning. The composition is layered with mythic and celestial forms, with the upper register evoking a human-centred model of the universe, surrounded by entangled bodies and atmospheric currents that suggest a constructed order. Around the empty centre, a ring of figures appears to sustain a fragile equilibrium, as if alternate dimensions, concepts, and states of reality are being held in suspension. The lower register gathers minor deities and undertakers in scenes of labour, debate, and collective presence, suggesting a dispersed and unstable sentience. The warm orange and red accents interrupt the black-and-white surface, intensifying the sense of tension and fragmentation while reinforcing the work’s sculptural rhythm. Across these strata, the image speculates on alternative orders of existence, where material, conceptual, and intangible states intersect, and where balance between opposing forces becomes necessary for processes of formation and manifestation. The work resists a single narrative, instead presenting a charged visual field in which excess, abstraction, and cosmology remain in continual negotiation.
